Sustainable Procurement
Working towards a sustainable supply chain.
As part of our commitment to becoming a net zero carbon company we are working with our suppliers to help them reach their own sustainability targets.
Collaborating for Sustainability
At Claywatt, we work closely with our supply chain partners to achieve our sustainability targets while delivering lasting social, economic, and environmental value for our customers.
As an active partner of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, we provide free training and workshops to help suppliers build their knowledge and expertise in key sustainability topics.
We are also supporting our supply chain to commit to, and set, science-based targets by 2027—driving collective progress towards a more sustainable future.

Science-based targets
Our Science-Based Targets
In 2022, we achieved external validation of our near-term science-based target and committed to setting a net zero target for 2045 under the UN-backed Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This marks a significant step in our journey to reduce emissions and play our part in tackling climate change.
Our near-term commitments include:
Reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2030.
Ensuring that 89% of our suppliers by emissions have set science-based targets by 2027.
Achieving carbon neutrality across our operations and vehicles by the end of 2025.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards across our business, in line with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Slavery and human trafficking have no place in today’s world, and we operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards both.
We expect the same commitment from every part of our supply chain and business relationships. To ensure this, we continue to develop, implement, and enforce robust systems and controls that actively prevent the risk of modern slavery.
