Queen Elizabeth House, HMRC

Queen Elizabeth House provides a prominent UK government presence in Edinburgh, offering 17,569 sqm of centrally-located office space for approximately 3,000 staff from more than 10 departments.

The development is a state-of-the-art facility, delivering high-quality, shared office space designed to support flexible and collaborative working.

The Secretary for Scotland’s Office and HMRC, both Smartspace clients, maintained a close involvement with the project through regular visits and expressed satisfaction with the progress and welfare facilities provided.

The Edinburgh hub consolidates the UK Government estate into a modern office, incorporating ministerial, event, and press facilities for the first time in Scotland to encourage UK Government Ministers’ presence. The Office of the Secretary of State (OSSS), Office of the Advocate General (OAG), and Cabinet Office are located on the fifth (top) floor.
