Quadram Institute Research Facility

he Quadram Institute project involves the construction of a five-storey development on the Norwich Research Park, comprising specialist laboratories, offices, and patient facilities.

Sustainable design features include photovoltaic panels and ground source heat pumps, enhancing the building’s energy efficiency.

The scheme brings together research teams from Quadram Institute Bioscience (formerly the Institute of Food Research), the University of East Anglia, and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s gastrointestinal endoscopy facility. The contemporary, purpose-designed accommodation will house 370 research scientists, clinicians, support staff, and clinical trial participants, as well as approximately 180 outpatients treated daily within the endoscopy clinics.
