Gewan Island DCP

Developed by Qatar Cool, the Gewan District Cooling Plant is a modern infrastructure project designed to deliver centralized cooling to residential, commercial, and recreational areas within The Pearl-Qatar. The plant has a cooling capacity of 18,000 Tons of Refrigeration (TR) and serves an area of approximately 400,000 square meters, including 659 residential units, 73 villas, 11,000 square meters of retail space, and 15 multi-use buildings.

The facility incorporates advanced energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices, such as seawater-based cooling and optimized power usage, to minimize environmental impact. Its operations ensure reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible cooling for the island’s residents and businesses.
