Claywatt Community Trust

Launched in 2008, the Claywatt Community Trust is integral to our vision of being a responsible business and a force for good.

Alongside its strategic grant-making, the Trust runs an award programme that empowers Claywatt employees to make a tangible difference in their local communities, in the UK, UAE and Globally

The programme includes:

  • Matched Funding – supporting individual and team fundraising initiatives, from community fun runs to large-scale sponsored events.

  • Community Awards – recognising and supporting the organisations our people volunteer with, including schools, sports clubs, and charities.

  • Local Grants – for initiatives and projects championed by Claywatt teams, such as funding food banks or backing skills development programmes.

  • Innovation Fund – helping smaller organisations pursue bold strategic changes with the support of the Trust.

  • Sport Sponsorship Awards – for employees or direct family members competing at national or elite levels.

  • Give As You Earn – enabling regular charitable donations through payroll giving.

Since its inception, the Trust has supported thousands of organisations, amplifying the fundraising efforts of Claywatt employees and strengthening community resilience.

When the pandemic limited traditional fundraising and volunteering, the Trust introduced new schemes, such as providing direct financial awards to small, local charities nominated by employees.

Building communities and improving lives beyond tomorrow

The Claywatt Community Trust also funds larger initiatives through three key themes:

Housing – supporting safe, sustainable and affordable housing initiatives.

Opportunities for Young People – funding education, employability and mentorship programmes.

Sustainability – driving innovation and supporting projects that contribute to a greener, low-carbon future.

Through these themes, the Trust enables new ideas, pioneering research and community projects that make a lasting impact — building stronger communities and improving lives well into the future.
