Supporting the new community with a range of facilities
Following strategic planning promotion and extensive public consultation and engagement, we were proud to secure planning consent for a major development at Hounsome Fields, south-west of Basingstoke. The scheme delivers 750 new homes, 40% of which are affordable, building on our previous success with the Kennel Farm development to the north.
The land was successfully sold to Linden Homes in 2017, with construction commencing in 2018.
Beyond providing much-needed housing to help the Council meet its targets, the Hounsome Fields development includes a three-form entry primary school, a community centre, indoor sports facilities, local shopping amenities, land for a children’s nursery, and neighbourhood parks, play areas, and allotments — delivering over £15 million of public benefit to the local community.
