Reimagining the space beneath a railway viaduct.
This two-stage redevelopment over 2.54 acres created 20,000 sqm of Covent Garden-style retail and fashion boutiques, an art-house cinema, and flexible Cat A office space across five buildings. The overall project value was £93.5m.
The works involved construction beneath and around the Network Rail-owned viaduct, which serves both London Bridge and Cannon Street mainline stations. The project retained three separate facades, undertook two-storey basement excavation, and ensured an existing wine merchant remained in occupation within one of the railway arches throughout the construction period.
